What the service is
taxroam computes capital-gains tax (Polish PIT-38) from numeric data sent by an AI assistant running on the user's side. Access is by a key issued after buying a package of transactions.
Broker files are neither received nor stored by us. The data contract has no fields for personal data, and a request containing it is refused in full.
What it is not
It is not tax or accounting advice. We do not file returns on the user's behalf and do not represent anyone before tax authorities. The result must be checked before filing.
This version of the contract does not support derivatives — options, futures and swaps. Such data is refused rather than computed incorrectly.
Packages and balance
- The fee is a one-off purchase of a transaction package, not a subscription.
- The balance belongs to the key, not to an account.
- A top-up adds to whatever remains.
- Recomputing the same transactions does not reduce the balance.
- Checking the data and quoting are free.
- An unused balance expires at the end of the tax season stated at purchase.
- If the balance does not cover the whole calculation, the request is refused in full and nothing is charged.
Access key
The key is shown once and sent to the address given at purchase. We store only its hash, so we are unable to resend the same key.
Whoever holds the key uses the balance. Protecting it is the user's responsibility. The key can be exchanged at any time in the panel — the balance moves to the new one and the old one stops working immediately.
Refunds
An unused balance is refunded on request within 14 days of purchase. Spent transactions are not refundable, because the calculation was performed.
If a calculation fails through our fault, nothing is charged — the balance decreases only after a successful calculation.
Liability
We are responsible for the correctness of the calculation given the data we received. We are not responsible for data prepared by the user's assistant, nor for the completeness of statements — missing purchases from earlier years inflate the tax, which the documentation warns about.
We are not responsible for the consequences of filing a return, including decisions by tax authorities.
Changes to these terms
Changes are announced on this page and do not apply retroactively to packages already bought. The address and version of the assistant rulebook (/rulebook/pl/v1) stay fixed — a change in behaviour means a new version at a new address, not a substitution of the existing one.
